I am a residential real estate professional working in Brevard County with additional EcoBroker® training on the energy and environmental issues that affect real estate transactions. Energy efficiency and healthy homes are top concerns for almost any homeowner.
Many home buyers are attracted to “green homes” to help out on their bottom-line, but at least the idea of being “green” is growing. According to recent research by the National Association of Home Builders and McGraw Hill Construction, 50% of green home buyers are motivated by environmental concerns and their family’s health, and 63% are motivated by reduced home maintenance costs.
